Improving our Design: Back to the Drawing Board!
Today in class our young engineers took an opportunity to reflect on the ideas that went well and those that required a little more work. Each team sat down and brainstormed some ideas to include into their new blueprints. Then they wrote out a new plan as to how they will construct their second tower, taking into consideration all that they have learned. Students quickly compared stabilization methods, balancing techniques and the need for a simplistic design. They encouraged each other to take risks, remain perseverant and look at every opportunity as another chance to learn. Here are some samples of their second blueprints:
