Investigating Forces!
This week we started exploring how forces affect our everyday lives. Students used a meter stick and a hot wheels car to explore what happens to the distance a car travels when different forces are applied to it. Students completed a series of tests including blowing against a car, poking the car with a pencil and pushing the car with their hand to see whether or not it affected the distance the car travelled. They then used meter sticks to measure the distance in centimeters. Take a peek at some of our third graders at work:
