Developing an experiment!
Today we are trying to create our first lab. Learning what we know about fair tests, my students started to develop their first lab to answer the following question:
GQ: Does increasing the height of a ramp give a car more force?
We know that a force is a push or a pull but now we want to test and see if a car has more pushing power when it rolls down a ramp at a higher height.
My scientists decided that we could test this by placing something at the end of the ramp that the car would have to push/move. Then they would measure how far the object was displaced to see whether or not a car does gain force when at dropped from higher heights.
